Welcome to Stronghold ISR with Jordyn Gallia

Welcome to Stronghold ISR, where safety and survival are our top priorities for your little ones in Hillsboro, West, and Cleburne TX. I’m Jordyn Gallia, a dedicated ISR instructor certified in teaching infants as young as 6 months how to conquer the water with confidence.

After signing my daughters up for traditional swim lessons when they were 2 and 4 years old, I quickly realized that this method was not working for them or me. I wanted them to truly learn how to survive in the water. After committing to drive two hours a day to enroll them in ISR in 2022, I fell in love with the program! What they could learn in 6 weeks blew my mind. During their session, I decided to bring this incredible program to our small towns—becoming the area’s first ISR Instructor in 2023.

A 2014 graduate of The University of New Mexico, I earned my degree in Exercise Science. I have have been married to my husband, Phillip, for almost 10 years, and together we have three sweet girls that you are bound to meet at lessons at some point!

At Stronghold ISR, we believe in the power of prevention, following the philosophy of 'Not One More Child Drowns.' Our tagline 'A place of security and survival' embodies the nurturing yet effective approach we take in guiding young swimmers on their journey to water safety.

Located in the heart of these Texas communities, I offer personalized and attentive swim lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of each child. With 3 years of experience and a profound commitment to ISR’s proven methods, I am here to provide your family with the reassurance and skills needed to thrive in and around the water. Let’s embark on this invaluable learning experience together at Stronghold ISR.

FAQs
How do you teach them to hold their breath?
Breath holding skills are taught beginning with the first lesson. We shape breath control using highly effective positive reinforcement techniques. We continue to reinforce these breath-holding techniques throughout every lesson.
Are swimming lessons for infants and young children safe?
I can’t speak for all swim lessons, but I can tell you ISR is dedicated to safety and maintaining numerous safety protocols to promote safe lessons. Your child's health and well-being are our highest priority and are closely monitored on a daily basis. In addition, your child's medical and developmental history is a mandatory part of the ISR national registration process, all of which is held strictly confidential. All ISR instructors undergo intensive and rigorous training that far exceeds any other training program of this kind. Each ISR instructor is also required to recertify yearly with emphasis on quality control, safety and lesson efficiency. Your education in the area of aquatic safety for your entire family is an integral part of your child's lessons. You will receive access to the "Parent Resource Guide" to inform you about every aspect of swimming and aquatic safety for infants and children. With research, you will find that ISR is not only the safest survival swimming program but also the most effective for teaching infants and young children.
Can’t babies swim naturally?
Unfortunately, babies cannot naturally swim. If this were the case, there wouldn’t be so many drownings every year. According to the Center for Disease Control and Accident Prevention, drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children ages 1-4 in the United States.
Why does it take an average of 6 weeks for my child to learn this?
The 6-week average is an estimate that is based on the average time in which it takes most children to learn these survival skills. Every child is unique and ISR’s Self- Rescue program is specifically designed based on your child’s individual strengths and needs. It is important to realize that this is an average which means that some children will actually finish more quickly while others will need more practice. ISR is dedicated to safety and, therefore, we want to provide your child with the time and best opportunity to become proficient in his/her survival skills. We will always honor your child’s needs.
